Our Commitment

A better salon, for all.

We are proud to partner with Sustainable Salons Australia to help us achieve zero waste in the salon, reduce our carbon footprint and implement sustainable work practices that turn salon waste into valuable resources.

Who are Sustainable Salons?

Sustainable Salons are a social enterprise with an established a network of collectors, recyclers, manufacturers and distributors who collectively, make sure up to 95% of materials from salons are diverted from landfill.

Recycling Plastics

Our plastics are collected, cleaned and upcycled into new products.

Feeding the hungry

All salon metals (including foil) and paper are sold for recycling, and the proceeds are donated to OzHarvest and KiwiHarvest to provide meals for hungry people.

Cleaning up oil-spills

Hair is collected from the salon floor and stuffed into stockings to make Hair Booms that can one day help clean up oil spills along our coastlines.

Ponytails to Wigs

All collected ponytails 20cm or longer are distributed to charitable organisations to create wigs for those suffering from cancer or alopecia.

Chemical recycling

Chemicals are collected, pooled and sent to chemical recycling plants where they are neutralised and turned into recycled water.

Repurposing disposable products

Select disposable hygiene products used during treatments are pulled apart and the materials are sent for repurposing.

For less than the price of a coffee

Our clients are able to eliminate 95% of the negative impact of their salon service via a small $3 fee on their final service bill.

The Sustainable Salons Fee goes toward supporting a range of important sustainability and community initiatives; Resource collection and redirection, Implementing green practices, Supporting the community, Researching recycling solution and awareness and education.
